Heaptalk, Jakarta – Indosat Ooredoo Hutchison (IOH) continue to maintaining its double-digit growth trajectory in total revenue by generating a total income of Rp41,812 billion. This achievement demonstrated the company’s revenue growth by 11.6% Year-on- Year (YoY).
The robust growth also is demonstrated by its EBITDA which increase by 15% YoY to Rp20,000 billion. This growth, further, allows the EBITDA’s margin to attain by 47.8% in the first nine months of 2024. Profit for the Period Attributable to Owners of the Parent reached Rp3,878 billion, marking 39.1% increase yoy.
Indosat’s cellular, MIDI, and Fixed Telecommunications business also boost the company’s revenue by reaching an increase of 84.3%, 14.1%, and 1.6%, respectively. In more detail, the cellular business, the segment that distributes the biggest revenue to the company, manages to deliver a 9.5% increase yoy. Meanwhile, MIDI delivers a significant enhancement of 30.2%, promoted by Fixed Internet, Fixed Connectivity, and IT Services. According to President Director and CEO of Indosat Ooredoo Hutchison, Vikram Sinha, Indosat’s shift from telco to techco by collaborating with giant companies such as NVIDIA contributed to MIDI’s business performance.
Vikram stated, “This result reflects our ongoing effort in operational excellence, strategic capital allocation, and leveraging AI-driven transformation. Our focus remains on delivering a great experience to all stakeholders and ensuring strong financial performance while adapting to the ever-changing telecommunications landscape”.
The great performance is also driven by the great allocation of capital expense (Capex). Indosat is known to enhance its infrastructure number, specifically in rural areas and East Indonesia. The number of its 4G BTS jump by 12.5% yoy to 193,562 to meet growing data demand while maintaining an impressive experience for customers. This expansion also promoted a surge in data traffic, which rose impressively by 12.5% yoy to 12,050 Petabytes (PB) in the first nine months of 2024.
