Heaptalk, Jakarta — Vice Regent of East Kutai, Kasmidi Bulang, officially opened the training and assessment of the Government Chief Information Office (GCIO) of East Kutai for the second batch at Sheraton Hotel, Surabaya.
In this agenda held for two days on October 30 – 31, 2023, Kasmidi delivered that the digital transformation has generated multiple shifts in behavior, people’s perspectives, ways of working, and culture.
“This change has an impact on optimal public services. Moreover, Indonesia is moving towards digital transformation, as seen from the 2021 – 2024 digital transformation road map that the central government has prepared,” added Kasmidi.
Regarding this matter, Kasmidi explained four pillars that must be strengthened: infrastructure development massively, policy harmonization, digital ecosystem reinforcement, and digital training efforts to increase the human resources capabilities in the region. However, he emphasized that strategic development is expected to focus on infrastructure and improving human resources abilities.
“I think this GCIO agenda is the right moment for the heads of OPD and sub-district heads throughout East Kutai district to improve the quality of service through digital transformation. For this reason, I congratulate the Department of Communication and Informatics, Statistics and Coding for holding this event.” Kasmidi Bulang said in his speech.
During the opening remarks, the Vice Regent encouraged the regional apparatus to continue uplifting their achievement because the challenges ahead are increasingly open and more complicated. He expected the East Kutai’s regional apparatus to continue competing with other regions. In his suggestion, Kasmidi also looks forward to the participants making this event to advance East Kutai. Instead of chasing a certificate, he waits for the actualization progress to go well.
