Heaptalk, Jakarta — The Acting Mayor of Tangerang City, Nurdin, officially opened the Tangerang City Office for the Empowerment of Women, Protection of Children, Population Control, and Family Planning (DP3AP2KB) in the Cisadane Building.
In his speech, he emphasized that the initiative is part of the city government’s effort to strengthen its commitment to protect women and children from all forms of violence.
“The protection of women and children can be a collaborative effort between the government, relevant institutions, and the community to create a safe and supportive environment for women and children. This will truly allow the region to become a livable and child-friendly city,” said Nurdin.
Nurdin, an alumnus of the University of Indonesia, also reminded all PPA Task Force members to prioritize a humane and sensitive approach when interacting with victims.
“I hope this training provides real benefits and can be applied directly in daily tasks. Moreover, Tangerang City can become a model for other regions in terms of protecting women and children,” Nurdin added.
Furthermore, the former Head of the Data and Information Center at the Ministry of Home Affairs expressed hope that the DP3AP2KB Tangerang City will continue to innovate in protecting women, children, and the general public in Tangerang.
“I believe protection can start from the family unit and eventually extend to the broader community,” concluded Nurdin.
At the same time, the Tangerang City Government, through the Regional Library and Archives Office, held an Archival Development event attended by representatives from all regional offices within the Tangerang City Government.
