Heaptalk, Jakarta – Services for medical and health personnel at the Digital Public Service Mall (MPP) were improved following the issuance of Law no. 17/2023 concerning Health. The implementation of MPP Digital health worker permit services is considered more practical because for medical and health personnel it only needs to input data once to access various services.

As referred to the new update, the Ministry of State Apparatus Empowerment and Bureaucratic Reform (PANRB) with the Ministry of Health have done a Socialization and Technical Guidance of Digital MPP Post-UU no. 17/2023 concerning Health. The participants of this socialization are 60 local governments that have implemented the MPP Digital, including representatives of the Department of Investment and One Stop Integrated Services (PTSP) and the Department of Health.

“This update surely becomes practical and easy because of the improvement integration process with the Health Ministry,” explained the Deputy Assistant of Public Field Service Transformation at the Ministry of PANRB, Yanuar Ahmad.

With said law being issued, the Health Worker Registration Certificate (STR) is valid for life. This service change further improves data registration for the Health Human Resources Information System (SISDMK) with MPP Digital. Health workers’ data only need to be entered once and can be used to access various licensing services in the MPP Digital.

Yanuar explained, MPP Digital has faced several challenges. Not only through the publc adaptation process but also from the management side. With various dynamics in the area such as the human resources change, the government decided that it is necessary to strengthen the capacity as well as the mechanism of transfer knowledge. “Especially among other health worker permit service providers at MPP Digital that is managed by the Health Service and PTSP Service,” said Yanuar

The PANRB minister Abdullah Azwar Anas has paid a lot of attention concerning the MPP Digital performance in each area. Anas strongly asked for every MPP Digital to continue operating. To his principle, the creation of MPP Digital is meant for one vision, such as providing a citizen centric of public service. That means, public including medical personnel must have convenience for services.

One of services for the health workers in the MPP Digital is the issuance and extension of Practice Permit (SIP). The General Director of Health Workers at the Health Ministry drg. Arianti Anaya explained, the Health Law has simplified the licensing process for medical and health personnel.

This is collaboration between the PANRB Minister and Health Minister in taking care of the medic and health workers. “One of the significant changes is recommendations from professional organizations (OP) are no longer required in the SIP issuance and extension process,” explained Drg. Arianti.

Other than the SISSMK Data from the Health Ministry, this data is also integrated with the population data at the Ministry of Home Affairs. Thus, the data entry of the medic and health worker will be much effective, quick, and non-repetitive.

The general aim of this simplification is to provide legal protection and certainty to the community. The simplified bureaucracy of the health sector will surely help publics to have health services.

“Hopefully, the medic and health workers are not being burdened so they can continue to work and serve health services for public,” Arianti concluded.
