Heaptalk, Jakarta — Minister of Administrative and Bureaucratic Reform (PANRB) Rini Widyantini met with Minister of Communication and Digital Affairs (Komdigi) Meutya Hafid to ensure that public services continue during the Christmas 2024 and New Year 2025 holidays.

The two ministers also discussed how the public can report any disruptions in public services during the holiday period. “The PANRB Ministry has issued Circular No. 06/2024 on the Provision of Public Services during the Christmas 2024 and New Year 2025 holidays. Through this circular, we urge all government agencies to continue providing public services despite the holidays,” said Minister Rini after meeting Minister Meutya at the PANRB Ministry Office on Thursday (12/26).

Rini requested that government agencies and public service providers ensure that essential public services, including health, transportation, security, and others, remain available and accessible. Therefore, agency leaders are asked to be selective in granting annual leave, considering workload, nature, and characteristics of duties, as well as the number of staff. Leave should still be prioritized for employees celebrating Christmas.

Meanwhile, for services that implement shift work hours, Rini urged that service hours be adjusted to avoid disruption and to provide service according to Service Standards. Government agencies are also asked to actively open complaint channels through Lapor!, face-to-face complaint channels, and other media to accommodate public aspirations during the Christmas and New Year holidays.

Rini asked all government agencies to inform the public if there are any schedule changes or ways to access services during the holiday period. With this appeal, Rini hopes that the public will continue to receive good service and feel comfortable with the services provided, even while enjoying the holidays and celebrating Christmas and New Year.

Meanwhile, Minister of Communication and Digital Meutya Hafid stated that the President tasked the ministers to ensure that public services continue smoothly during the holiday period. Additionally, the holiday flow must be carried out safely and smoothly. She urged the public to report any non-operational public services during the holidays. The public can also report non-optimal services within the Communication and Digital Affairs Ministry through the information service @pmt.komdigi.

“We have been given the same task to ensure that public services and public comfort during the Christmas and New Year holidays are guaranteed to run smoothly. This is the President’s instruction to all of us,” Meutya concluded.
