This transportation scholarship program is expected to be an alternative solution to meet the needs of quality human resources in Regency who have integrity.
Heaptalk, Jakarta — The East Kutai Transportation Department in collaboration with the Ministry of Transportation is currently preparing a scholarship program for students in the regency to continue their education to tertiary level, particularly in the field of transportation.
Previously, the Department had held the election of pioneer students for road transport traffic safety (06/26). Of the 36 participants from numerous high schools in East Kutai, the board of jury named Ratu Adrienne (North Sangatta 2 High School) the first winner, M. Rizky Ramadhan (North Sangatta 1 Vocational School) the second winner, and Maghdalena Naura (South Sangatta 1 High School) the third winner.
On behalf of the Head of the East Kutai Transportation Department, Joko Suripto, Head of the Development and Safety Division, Murni Irawati conveyed, “We will propose students who have become winners to obtain scholarships through a program owned by the Ministry of Transportation.”
The scholarship is expected to be an alternative solution to meet the needs for quality human resources in East Kutai. According to Murni, currently, this Regency still lacks experts, primarily in the field of transportation. In addition, this effort also aims to provide human resources who have integrity as well as are reliable, innovative, ethical, and competitive both nationally and internationally.
“Currently we are starting to design collaboration and procedures for its implementation with the Provincial Transportation Department and the Ministry of Transportation,” she added.
Further, Murni hopes that this scholarship program will provide motivation and opportunities for the participants to continue their education in the specific field to a higher level. In the future, graduates of this scholarship program are expected to take part in basic competency selection properly to fill the available formations in the East Kutai Regency Government.
“Thus, they are no longer confused after graduation since they already have expertise,” concluded Murni.
