Heaptalk, Jakarta — East Kutai Regent Ardiansyah Sulaiman paid a working visit to Busan District with the Mother of Early Childhood Education Siti Robiah (10/31).
In Busang, Ardiansyah was scheduled to carry out three agendas. First, the inauguration of the 1,226 km long road connecting Long Pejeng-Long Lees-Long Nyelong Villages. Second, handover of forest and land fire engines. Lastly, socialization of the Healthy Living Community Movement (Germas).
Germas is a movement that aims to encourage a culture of healthy living and leave behind unhealthy habits and behaviors of people for a better quality of life. “Germas is a movement that aims to promote a culture of healthy living and abandon unhealthy habits and behavior,” Ardiansyah said in Busang (10/31).
In addition to encouraging a culture of healthy living, Germas is also promoted to reduce disease and the burden of health financing as well as avoid a decline in population productivity. On the occasion, Ardiansyah invited the entire Busang community to implement the healthy lifestyle taught by Germas. He added, “Starting from ourselves, our families, and the surrounding environment.”

Ardiansyah further emphasized that health is a gift that must be maintained. “The way to do this is by maintaining our diet, exercising, and having regular health checks, especially for elderly residents,” he explained.
Meanwhile, the Head of the East Kutai Health Department dr. Bahrani, who accompanied Regent Ardiansyah on the working visit, said that Germas could become a good habit for the entire community, particularly Busang residents. “By adopting a healthy lifestyle, people can live longer with a higher level of health,” concluded Bahrani.
