East Kutai made a new achievement for an unqualified opinion on the 2022 financial statements after obtaining a qualified opinion for two consecutive years.
Heaptalk, Jakarta — The Government of East Kutai Regency succeeded in obtaining an unqualified opinion from the Audit Board of Indonesia (BPK) Representative for East Kalimantan Province based on the results of an audit report on the regional government financial statements (LKPD) for the 2022 fiscal year.
The result is definitely a new achievement for the regency as it has received a qualified opinion for two consecutive years. The result of the audit of financial statements was announced in the Auditorium Room of the BPK East Kalimantan Representative Office, Jalan M. Yamin, Samarinda (05/10).
In his remarks, East Kutai Regent Ardiansyah Sulaiman said, “The government of East Kutai Regency is committed not only to achieving an unqualified opinion, but we will continue to work harder and smarter in the framework of transparent and accountable financial management.”
In addition, Ardiansyah conveyed that his party would soon complete the follow-up of the recommendations submitted by BPK. He voiced, “There are 36 recommendations submitted, hopefully not for a long time, not waiting for 60 days. I promise to order all my apparatus to follow up immediately.”
Further, obtaining this unqualified opinion will be a whip for the Government of East Kutai to work more optimally in the context of financial management in the future.
“Hopefully the event held today is a form of our accountability: first, related to regional financial management; secondly, directly or indirectly related to our accountability to the community from all regional revenue and expenditure budgets that we issue; third, as our personal responsibility as state civil servants, as public servants to God Almighty,” concluded Ardiansyah.
