The three-day training is organized based on Law No. 2 of 2017 on Construction Services, attended by 100 participants from the Public Works Department.
Heaptalk, Jakarta — The East Kutai Public Works Department (PU) conducts training and competency certification for construction workers, consisting of field executives of building works and level 3 road works.
Taking place at Sangatta, the activity is carried out on November 28-30, 2922, attended by 100 participants from the Public Works Department with details of 50 participants of construction workers and 50 participants of level 3 road workers.
The Head of the Public Works Department Muhammad Muhir explained that the activity is the result of collaboration with the East Kalimantan Independent Certification Training Development Center (P3SM) with participants consisting of skilled workers and experts in the field of public works. He expected that the field executives can carry out their duties better after attending the training.
“After this, they gain certificates that are highly required in construction work, for example, auctioneers, stone experts, concrete experts, and others,” said Muhir.
The Head of the East Kutai Bina Marga Division Asran Lode delivered that infrastructure development has been a priority for regional apparatus organizations (OPD) engaged in public works and public housing (PUPR).
“Building quality, smart, and environmentally friendly infrastructure requires a reliable, trustworthy, and certified construction workforce,” said Asran.
Certification is needed to improve the ability of the construction workforce in East Kutai to face tight competition with workers from other regions and foreign countries. Training for skilled construction workers and competency certification training is organized based on Law No. 2 of 2017 on Construction Services.
Chief organizer Rudy Ramadhan conveyed that the three-day event presented prominent speakers from the East Kalimantan Independent Certification Training Development Center namely Rusdi Doviyanto, Viva Octaviani, and Suharto.
