MSME bazaar is expected to allow MSME actors to gain many valuable lessons from Genpro to improve their product, quality, financial and business management.
Heaptalk, Jakarta — The MSME promotion bazaar initiated by the East Kutai Department of Cooperatives and SMEs in collaboration with Global Entrepreneur Professional (Genpro) is organized for the 6th location in the volleyball court in Tepian Langsat Village, Bengalon District, East Kutai for six days on May 8-13, 2023.
Commencing the event, East Kutai Regent Ardiansyah Sulaiman said that the inflation rate in Indonesia and East Kalimantan is currently relatively low. He said, “Thank God, all markets in East Kalimantan, particularly East Kutai, are still in a stable condition. We are grateful as one of the (factors) that affects the condition of inflation is the increasing rise of MSMEs to move into the midst of society.”
The initial purpose of organizing the MSME Bazaar is to encourage intercommunity transactions, by the community, and for the community. Besides, this event is also expected to allow MSME actors to gain valuable lessons from Genpro who accompanied them during the event. Thus, MSMEs can improve their products, quality, as well as financial and business management.
Further, Ardiansyah also revealed the investment progress in East Kutai which increased in the last two years. In 2020, the investment recorded by the Investment Coordinating Board (BKPM) of Rp3 trillion (worth US$203.3 million; US$1 equals Rp14,752), rose to Rp8.9 trillion (worth US$603.2 million) in 2021 and Rp12.46 trillion (worth US$844.5 million) in 2022. He hoped that the investment would increase in 2023 with the existence of Kobexindo which would operate with an investment value of almost Rp30 trillion.
“This means that the business field has the ability to develop in East Kutai, both in the agricultural sector in a broad sense, the mining sector, and other sectors,” voiced Ardiansyah. He expected that the MSME bazaar at the 6th venue can accommodate MSME actors who sell their products to gain profit as well as the visitors to shop and get the entertainment offered by the organizers.
