Heaptalk, Jakarta — The East Kutai Regency Government continues building infrastructure, particularly roads in rural areas, to improve the welfare of the region’s community.
According to East Kutai’s Regent Ardiansyah Sulaiman, these construction projects are a significant effort to boost local economic development. He further showcased the village roads that the regional government has already built.
“The main village roads, farm roads, and inter-village connecting roads previously in severe disrepair have been significantly improved. The damage that once hindered residents from transporting their agricultural products has now been addressed, and the community is starting to feel the benefits directly,” Ardiansyah said.
The Regent also revealed that the village road construction projects are being intensively accelerated. He has instructed the Head of the Public Works (PU) and Housing and Settlement Departments to work hard to achieve the predetermined targets.
“East Kutai Regency aims to complete this multi-year project by the end of 2024, and we are striving to expedite its completion by October,” Ardiansyah affirmed.
With the completion of these road constructions, Regent Ardiansyah looks forward to a surge in the local economy and community welfare. “We believe that better infrastructure will drive economic growth in the villages and bring greater prosperity to our residents,” He concluded.
Meanwhile, the East Kutai Regional Legislative Council (DPRD) Chairman, Joni, fully supports the East Kutai regional government’s development program to improve community welfare. The regional development program is a priority for achieving the vision and mission of the regional medium-term development plan.
“The DPRD will fully support the district government program to benefit the community. We are committed to working with the Regional Government for the welfare and progress of this area,” Joni concluded.
