Technical guidance in advancing regional financial management is held for three days on May 15-17, 2023 by presenting several prominent speakers from relevant institutions.

Heaptalk, Jakarta — The East Kutai Department of Communication and Informatics, Statistics and Encryption (Diskominfo Staper) in collaboration with the Public Administration Education and Training Center (Pusdiklat Pemendagri) held technical guidance for Planning and Finance Program Subdivision staff for three days on May 15-17, 2023, at Hotel Neo, Yogyakarta.

The technical guidance carries the theme of a Regional Financial Accountability Administration System and Strategies for Dealing with Audits in the Preparation and Management of Finances Based on Government Accounting Standards.

Several prominent speakers from relevant institutions are presented in this activity, including speakers from the Audit Board (BPK) of the Republic of Indonesia who provided materials on rules and examples of solving financial administration problems in various regions. Participants in the technical assistance consisted of income treasurers, expenditure treasurers, and financial staff at the Communication and Informatics Department.

The Head of the East Kutai Communication and Informatics Department, Ery Mulyadi, through the Department Secretary, Rasyid, said that financial staff should understand the signs and limits that may not be violated in carrying out financial administration and reporting.

“(This) is our effort to improve financial governance in East Kutai in an orderly manner, complying with laws and regulations. We have to understand that there are boundaries that must not be violated. Certainly, we should comply with and apply it in administrative order for efficiency, effectiveness, transparency, responsibility, and pay attention to the principles of fairness and compliance with rules,” said Rasyid in Yogyakarta (05/15).

Rasyid hoped that this technical guidance can be a start for increasing the capacity of human resources at the East Kutai Department of Communication and Informatics, Statistics and Encryption.

“Hopefully the implementation of this technical guidance can broaden our understanding regarding the implementation of the administration process and financial reporting to improve the quality of proper regional financial management and minimize errors in regional financial management,” concluded Rasyid.
