PT Indexim Coalindo is a coal mining company operating in Kaliorang Subdistrict. The company has brought positive impact and multiplier effect to the community.
Heaptalk, Jakarta — East Kutai Regent Ardiansyah Sulaiman appreciated a coal mining company operating in the regency, PT Indexim Coalindo, for investing in East Kutai and bringing a positive impact on development around the company’s location in Kaliorang Subdistrict.
“Indexim has invested in East Kutai. We can see the impact already. Indexim’s work operations have had a good impact on development and improvement in East Kutai, especially in Kaliorang. Significantly, there is a multiplier effect on the surrounding community,” said Ardiansyah while attending an iftar gathering with PT Indexim Coalindo.
Ardiansyah explained that there was a traffic jam on the road to Indexim as many employees around the company were shopping for iftar food and drinks at the Ramadan market. He said, “This is evidence that the multiplier effect in Kaliorang is very vibrant with the presence of the company.”
In addition, the communities around Kaliorang, Kaubun, and Karangan must be able to feel the impact of PT Indexim Coalindo’s presence through direct social responsibility (TJLS). “Therefore, village heads and sub-district heads must always collaborate with the companies around them,” voiced Ardiansyah.
Meanwhile, Vice Regent Kasmidi Bulang also expressed his appreciation for Indexim with all of its corporate social responsibility (CSR) programs. He said, “This is proof of Indexim’s commitment through CSR in paying attention to development in the area around the mine.”
Kasmidi advised the village heads to build friendly relations and maintain investment with the companies around them to create safe environmental conditions and make it easy for the community to work. “I also asked the management of PT Indexim to facilitate the village government’s expectations, primarily public access such as roads, and pay attention to religious facilities such as places of worship and other facilities,” concluded Kasmidi.
