Heaptalk, Jakarta — The Ministry of Communication and Digital (Komdigi) won first place in the 2024 Electronic-Based Government System (SPBE) Evaluation. As outlined by the Minister of Administrative and Bureaucratic Reform Decree No. 663 of 2024, this evaluation assessed 615 government institutions at the central and regional levels. The ministry achieved the highest index score of 4.75, earning a “satisfactory” rating.
Mira Tayyiba, the Secretary-General of the Ministry of Communication and Digital Affairs, said, “This recognition inspires us to uphold and improve the quality of SPBE within our Ministry and reinforces our goal to driving Indonesia’s national digital transformation from the central government down to the regional levels,”
She underscored that this accomplishment results from the collective synergies between the departments, specifically the Data and Informatics Facilities Center (PDSI) team, which has been key in internally coordinating the SPBE program.
“This milestone encourages us to continually improve the SPBE system while further strengthening our commitment to advancing Indonesia’s digital transformation,” she added.
Mira also emphasized that the optimal development and application of digital technologies in government will extend the reach of services and enhance the overall quality of public services.
“We firmly believe that leveraging digital technology in government operations will expand service accessibility and raise the quality of public services, ultimately supporting the creation of an inclusive, empowering, sovereign, and trustworthy digital transformation,” she explained.
The SPBE evaluation process is designed to encourage the realization of a clean, effective, transparent, and accountable government and improve public service quality through adopting electronic systems across all government agencies.
The ministry increased its SPBE index by 0.23 points compared to last year. As the Chief Technology Officer for SPBE, the digital affairs ministry holds a central role in managing the SPBE infrastructure and coordinating the development of SPBE applications across various government entities.
The Ministry of Administrative and Bureaucratic Reform has called on government leaders to continue enhancing the implementation of electronic-based governance to create a more efficient and transparent government. This evaluation indicates the government’s dedication to strengthening effective and accountable governance.
