The National Cooperatives Day Festival was combined with the MSME bazaar for ten days on July 7-16, 2023 to promote East Kutai MSME products.

Heaptalk, Jakarta — The National Cooperatives Day Festival in East Kutai has been held for ten days on July 7-16, 2023. Located at the Helipad Field, Bukit Pelangi Office Complex, Sangatta, this event was combined with the MSME bazaar at the 8th location. The closing ceremony was held one day earlier on July 15 to avoid clashes with the arrival of the East Kutai pilgrims.

Closing the event, Regent Ardiansyah Sulaiman delivered that the festival and MSME bazaar were organized by East Kutai Cooperatives and SMEs Department. “Today is the closing of the National Cooperative Anniversary 2023. The series of closings is planned to be held tomorrow. Since tomorrow night coincides with the arrival of the East Kutai pilgrims, the closing ceremony for National Cooperative Day is brought forward. Thus, the committee and security team are not overwhelmed,” he said (07/15).

On the last day of the festival, several activities were carried out, including morning exercise, health walks, and the distribution of door prizes. Regarding the MSME bazaar, from the eight locations that have been held thus far, the Government will select eleven MSMEs whose products will be exhibited in an exhibition in Bali on July 19, 2023.

“Hopefully the East Kutai MSME products that will be brought there can attract buyers, both local and foreign. It is possible that these products can also steal the eyes of foreign investors. Further, our products can enter the global market,” Ardiansyah voiced.

Attending the closing ceremony, Head of East Kutai Cooperatives and SMEs Department Darsafani said that his party brought in famous musicians from Jakarta to enliven the MSME bazaar and attract the public’s attention. He said, “In the future, we will present the capital’s musicians and their bands, not solely the vocalists. However, we will also look at budget availability.”

Further, to leverage MSMEs in the Regency to the next level, the Department teams up with Global Entrepreneur Professional (Genpro) as consultants in marketing, especially exports. “They will look for foreign investors as well as promote these MSME products. In addition, Genpro is a consulting platform that is used to export goods,” concluded Darsafani.
