Heaptalk, Jakarta — The East Kutai Regency Government celebrates its 24th anniversary. Before officially commencing the regency anniversary event series, the East Kutai Regent, Ardiansyah, delivered his speech in the region’s Main Meeting Room of the DPRD Office. (10/12)
In his speech, the Regent explained his commitment to completing several homework assignments which are currently still in progress, namely the Merdeka Signal program, building residential infrastructure, fulfilling clean access in every sub-district, accelerating electricity integration throughout the East Kutai area, and developing the Maloy Batuta Trans Special Economic Zone ( SEZ MBT) Kalimantan.
“We continue to complete the Merdeka Signal program, which is expected to solve the blank spot issues that are still occurring in several locations by 2024,” affirmed Regent Ardiansyah.
He also said that strengthening residential infrastructure in East Kutai, which still needs to be improved, continues to be a primary priority for the regional government, specifically in road and drainage. By fulfilling access to clean water, the Regency Government also continues to safeguard raw water sources, increase reservoir use, and empower communities by providing clean rural water through PAMDes and Pamsimas.
Ardiansyah will also amplify strategic collaboration with PT PLN and several companies to increase excess power for the community, which is expected to be able to accomplish the electrification program, which still has 12% remaining to be fulfilled.
Concluding his speech, the Regent of East Kutai emphasized that the District Government continues to support the Special Economic Zone of Maloy Batuta Trans Kalimantan. As the National Strategic Area (KSN) which will strengthen the development of the agribusiness and agro-industry sectors, he admitted that PT Samudera Indonesia will manage the Maloy Port area.
“I expect this endeavor will spur the growth of the industrial area by Chemical Maloy in providing a competitive advantage for the people and government of East Kutai,” concluded Ardiansyah.
