Heaptalk, Jakarta — Indonesia’s Coordinating Ministry for Economic Affairs joined a National Coordination Meeting (Rakornas) to accelerate and expand regional digitalization to follow up on Presidential Decree Number 3 2021 regarding the development of regional digitalization in Indonesia.
The agenda was attended directly by all regional heads throughout Indonesia, including the Vice Regent of East Kutai, Kasimidi Bulang. During the schedule, he admitted that the Ministry granted several awards devoted to multiple Indonesian regions, including Kutai Kartanegara.
“Of course, appreciation should be given to Kutai Kartanegara. From now on, we must further increase the digitalization of financial processes in the regions.” Kasmidi stated.
Regarding digitalization, Kasmidi explained that East Kutai District is one of the most significant areas of the ten districts/cities in East Kalimantan because the region is the third largest areas.
Attending the national meeting agenda, the Head of Indonesia’s Development Planning Agency at the Sub-National Level (Bappeda), Noviari Noor, explained that East Kutai has a team to accelerate and expand regional digitalization.
Head of Bappeda added, “Currently, we have paid taxes and levies online, both via QRIS and other payment methods,”
In response to the Noviari statement, Kasmidi Bulang Kasmidi claimed this matter is a completed progress that has been performed. Nevertheless, he emphasized that East Kutai will continue to innovate in strengthening the digital ecosystem in the region.
Regarding the digitalization enhancement, East Kutai Government previously has released digital-based public service platforms, including:
- Rumah Bentong ASN Berakhlak, as the solution to overcome the existing issues of the education and training (diklat) process.
- Si-Manies ASN, as an active investment data to be utilized as the integrated digital data into the employment service at the BKPSDM platform.
- East Kutai E-performance in the district government environment, as the digital platform to fulfill the district performance report into Indonesia’s Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK).
From this outstanding initiation, Vice Regent Kasmidi hopes East Kutai can win the award in next year from the Coordinating Ministry for Economic Affairs. For this reason, Kasmidi affirmed that his party would continue to accelerate the digital ecosystem in the region, particularly in the financing and economic sector, aligned with the mandate of Indonesia’s Vice President, Ma’ruf Amin, and Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs, Airlangga Hartarto.
