Manufacturing IT Summit was organized by Exito Media Concepts for the first time in Southeast Asia, choosing Indonesia as the venue for technology topics.
Heaptalk, Jakarta — Manufacturing IT Summit Indonesia was successfully held with participation from more than 200 attendees from at least 114 firms on February 15-16, 2023 at the JW Marriott, Jakarta. Organized by Exito Media Concepts, MITS Indonesia aims to explore the biggest current technological challenges, foster deeper collaboration, and later generate new ideas.
Covering a wide range of topics on industry 4.0, digitalization, automation, and smart manufacturing, the 21st Manufacturing IT Summit brings together technology leaders from leading businesses, institutions, and government officials representing Indonesia’s manufacturing sector sharing their knowledge and experiences on the critical technology issues affecting today’s industry.
According to the CEO of Exito Media Concepts Rishikesh Shetty, Indonesia was chosen as its manufacturing sector has a large contribution to the GDP. He said, “The Manufacturing IT Summit is one of our largest brands, and we have taken it across the globe, mainly in economies where the GDP is mainly contributed through the manufacturing center. Obviously, Indonesia stands fifth in contribution towards this GDP.”
The manufacturing sector in Indonesia contributes 20% to the GDP. “Indonesia is one of the largest economies in entire Southeast Asia. That is why we chose to bring Manufacturing IT Summit from Indonesia,” voiced Rishikesh. The event also presented Indra Darmawan, Deputy Minister of Investment Planning, Ministry of Investment/Indonesia Investment Coordinating Board (BKPM).

Indonesia became the venue of the first MITS in Southeast Asia
Since it is aligned with Indonesia’s national goal, the summit received abundant support from several government institutions, spanning the Ministry of Industry, Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KADIN), UNIDO, Indonesia SEZ, National Cyber and Crypto Agency, as well as the Ministry of Communication and Information Technology of the Republic of Indonesia.
Although the summit was held for the first time in Southeast Asia, Rishikesh saw high enthusiasm from the participants in the two-day event. He added, “This is our first in Southeast Asia. Manufacturing being the biggest in Indonesia, we feel this is the right place to do it. The engagement and the kind of crowd who have participated, their feedback is obviously more than 5 compared to between the scale of 1 to 7. We have had a lot of attendance to stay right until the end of the conference,” added Rishikesh.
Onwards, Exito is preparing several events that focus on discussing the latest technological developments. “We have more than seven events planned out in Indonesia for the coming year. We are just happy with the kind of response the country has given us,” concluded Rishikesh.
