GIIAS 2024 will be enlivened by the launch of 40 new vehicles

Heaptalk, Jakarta – Gaikindo Indonesia International Auto Show (GIIAS) 2024 to return on 18 to 28 July at ICE BSD, Tangerang. Expanding its venue to 120,000 sqm, the world’s largest automotive expo after China will facillitate the launch of 40 new vehicle models in Indonesia.

The 3rd Chairman of Gaikindo, Rizwan Alamsyah, stated, “Around 40 new vehicles and three vehicle concepts will be launched in this event.”

He added that 55 brands are confirmed to showcase its innovation in the expo, comprising of 31 cars, 4 commercial vehicles, and 20 motorcycles. Interestingly, the exhibitors not only derive from Europe, Japan, and Korea, but also dominated by China.

“Initially, the exhibitors come from Japan, Korea, and Europe, but the appearance of China’s products today also brings a positive impact,” stated Rizwan.

Moreover, 13 new brands will start their debut in the national automotive industry, consisting of 6 four-wheel brands, and 7 motorcycle brands. Perceiving the number of participants, GIIAS 2024 hits the highest record in vehicle variation for nine years.

“We should be proud because this event is recognized as the world’s largest automotive expo after China, and it has become the standard of automotive expo in the world,” stated Rizwan Alamsyah.

Regarding the launch of new models, several brands that will introduce their new innovation in GIIAS 2024 include:

  • Honda. Celebrating its 75th anniversary and 25th anniversary of Honda Prospect Motor, the brand present 5 latest EVs.
  • Mitsubishi to launch two new products.
  • Chery to roll out four new cars. In addition to introducing a new model, Chery also will launch a new brand under Chery International.
  • BYD to present its new innovation for the first time in GIIAS 2024.
  • Hyundai to release its new model.
  • Jetour to start its debut in Indonesia through GIIAS 2024.
  • Kia to present four new cars, consist of SUV A and SUV B with internal combustion engine, and two EVs.
  • Mazda announced the release of a new SUV.
  • Mercedes-Benz to launch three new products, spanning all new E-Class, AMG C63, and AMG GLC 43.
  • MG to showcase its brand-new energy vehicle.
  • Neta to launch its new Ev in the form of medium SUV Neta.
  • Fuso to introduce its EV truck while celebrating its first distribution to consumers.
  • Nissan will roll out a new car and one concept vehicle.
  • Suzuki will introduce its new Ev for the first time in Indonesia.
  • Toyota will launch a new GR variant and one Ev.
