Heaptalk, Jakarta — Coincides with the license year in 2023 which was announced by Indonesia’s Ministry of Law and Human Right, Indonesian License Association (ASENSI) together with International Multi Expo Indonesia (IMEI), and Krista Exhibitions are poised to hold The 3rd Indonesia Licensing Expo 2023 (ILE) .
During the press conference of ILE 2023, CEO of Krista Exhibitions Daud Salim delivered the organizing of this event will be special as the expo will present in three big cities in Indonesia, spanning Jakarta, Surabaya, and Bali.
Daud also conveyed the implementation will take longer than previous event, from three days in 2022 to four days, except in Bali. In more detail, the first event will be held for four days in Grand City Surabaya on June 15th-18th. The following event will be at BNCC Nusa Dua Bali on September 7th-9th and the peak of ILE 2023 will be held for four days at Jakarta International Expo JIExpo Kemayoran Jakarta on October, 11th-14th.
Chairman of ASENSI, Susanti Wijaya explained that the event will involve over 250 licenses, both from domestic and international businesses. Organized in three cities, ILE 2023 is expected to attract more than 50,000 visitors.
“We hope this exhibition can be a hub for exhibitors to offer their licenses and products to investors. We are optimistic that the organizing will run successfully considering this ‘return to normal’ situation,” stated Susanti Wijaya.
Moreover, the exhibition obtains full support from Authority, particularly Ministry of Trade, due to its role to drive the franchise and license industry in Indonesia. The Head of Franchise and Direct Distribution Division, the Ministry of Trade, Agus Purwanto, during the press conference stated, “We recorded there are 9,732 franchises in Indonesia. However, most of them are foreign companies. Meanwhile, I believe that a lot of Indonesia’s products have excellent quality. Our market is great, but please remember, don’t be the market for other countries, we should be a host in our own country.”(04/05)
To embody this goal, Purwanto invited all stakeholders to cooperate to each other. “Adressing this issue, the Government cannot work alone. The collaboration of all stakeholders, spanning Government, association, business, and even MSMEs is required. Therefore, the organizing of this event with ASENSI becomes critical,” said Purwanto.
Purwanto also hopes this expo can educate people about the importance of licensing to avoid undesirable situation. ILE 2023 also is expected to share information about how to create license and franchise to society.
