Heaptalk, Jakarta — The regional digitalization acceleration and expansion team (TP2DD) established by the East Kutai Government on August 18, 2021, begins to show positive progress in achieving synergy in implementing electronification, one of which is by adding non-cash channels for regional tax and retribution payment.
According to the Head of the East Kutai Regional Revenue Agency (Bapenda) Syahfur, the TP2DD is expected to tackle issues in the implementation of electronification in the regency. The establishment of the regional digitalization acceleration and expansion team is stated in the Decree of the East Kutai Regent No. 970/K.536/2021.
“TP2DD can facilitate the coordination of multiple parties to create synergy in implementing electronification, specifically for the provision of non-cash payment channels for the community,” said Syahfur (11/24).
Collaborating with the Regional Development Bank of East Kalimantan and North Kalimantan (Bankaltimtara) of the Sangatta branch, Bapenda launched an innovative non-cash payment channel for regional taxes. Syahfur said, “We are adding a non-cash payment channel for regional taxes and retribution with a payment code, while rural and urban land and building taxes are paid by a tax object number (NOP) to make new transactions.”
Non-cash payments for regional tax and retribution can be made through payment channels provided by Bapenda through Bankaltimtara facilities, spanning SMS banking, ATMs, internet banking, mobile banking, DGQRIS, and the PayKaltimtara application. In addition, taxpayers can also make payments through virtual accounts, QRIS banks other than Bankaltimtara, Indomaret, and e-commerce including Dana, Shopee, LinkAja, Tokopedia, Ovo, and GoPay.
Representing the East Kutai Government and its staff, Syahfur expressed his gratitude to Bankaltimtara for encouraging and assisting in the acceleration and expansion of digitalization in East Kutai. The addition of non-cash channels for tax and retribution payments can help taxpayers to make transactions through the desired channel.
