Heaptalk, Jakarta — The Vice-Regent, Kasmidi Bulang, together with the Regional Representative Council of the Indonesian Agricultural Extension Association (DPD Perhiptani) of East Kutai Regency for the 2022-2027 period, has been inaugurated by Isran Noor, the General Chairman of the DPP Perhiptani.
The inauguration was carried out in the Akasia Room, Sangatta, witnessed by the Regent Ardiansyah Sulaiman, Head of Forkopimda at East Kutai, the Provincial Regional Board Administrator of Perhiptani, the Agricultural Academist and Practitioner of the region, as well as the Head of Extension Center Ministry of Agriculture, Siti Nurjanah.
On that occasion, Isran Noor conveyed that intensive communication, a buckle down, and the farmer and comprehension of the farmers’ requisite are the essential keys to delivering the extension program to achieve the common objectives, namely the Advanced Perhiptani, Farmers’ Prosperity, Extension Workers’ Welfare.
“After this inauguration schedule, I look forward to the East Kutai Perhiptani party creating and executing the work programs. As the government partners, multiple programs and activities should involve the whole of Perhiptani members and build good relations, specifically with Government Agencies of Agriculture, private banking stakeholders, farmers, and farming business entrepreneurs,” Isran said in his statement.
Furthermore, Vice-Regent Kasmidi, that also served as the Chairman of Perhiptani of East Kutai Regency delivered his gratitude to the provincial government for supporting the Perhiptani activity through the capital disbursement of around Rp1 billion. He explained this plan had become a program in SKPD as an operational activity for the extension workers.
“I am grateful that East Kutai Regency has allocated multiple activities in the Pristine Regional Revenue and Expenditure Budget (APBD) 2022. The program includes uniform giving for the entire extension worker in East Kutai, starting from caps and shoes,” added Kasmidi.
Besides, his party conducted additional activities related to Human Resources Development in agriculture. The extension workers are also provided laptops as a reward for the most active member in boosting the spirit of other participants.
“We also present the institutional activity and Human Resources Enhancement. Regarding the budget, we have allocated around Rp2 billion to grant a uniform to around 265 extension workers and provide laptops as a reward. Through the information technology channel, the extension workers have access to report to the Ministry or other government agencies,” affirmed this Vice-Regent of East Kutai.
Previously, the Secretary of East Kutai’s Perhiptani and also served as the Head of Agriculture at East Kutai, Dyah Ratna Nigrum, mentioned that Perhiptani is a professional organization with a significant role in creating transformation and innovation in the agricultural industry. Dyah also revealed that this association is expected to embody agribusiness-oriented agriculture to improve another potential in this sector, particularly agrotourism.
“I look forward to this organization can be a place for the agricultural extension to be more powerful and confident in nailing the young generation’s interest to become a talented farmer,” Dyah said.
