Heaptalk, Jakarta – Food ingredients Asia (Fi Asia) 2022 expo will be back on September 7th – 9th, 2022, at Jakarta International Expo. Initiated by Informa Markets exhibition organizers, this F&B show will employ Business to Business (B2B), and Business to Consumer (B2C) strategies to respond to the quality food raw materials demand of people and increase the export chances around ASEAN regions.

The Group Director ASEAN of Fi Asia Thailand Co Ltd, Rungpech Chitanuwat, stated her team would present numerous local and international companies in the F&B industry. By displaying plenty of high-quality products, the exhibitors are hoped to create added value for their business growth.

Further, Rungpech also elaborated Indonesia is an Asia country with a prospective market share of food raw materials. The annual growth of the food raw material industry is predicted to increase to 5.30% in the period 2021 – 2022. The development of Indonesia’s food and beverage industry also showed positive progress during the pandemic, whereby the enhancement reached 2.45% in Q1 of 2021.

During the pre-event Press Conference, similar matters were also conveyed by the Chairman of Indonesian Food and Beverage Producers Associations (GAPMMI), Adhi Lukman. He estimated the F&B industry GDP in Indonesia would grow by 5% yearly. To retain the stable condition of this sector, Adhi affirmed the appearance of Fi Asia 2022 is the right occasion to unlock broader business scale and amplify the industry actors’ capabilities around the ASEAN.

More than 300 international food ingredient manufacturers will stimulate the event. The booth will be divided into eight pavilions from diverse countries and sectors, including Natural Ingredients Pavilion, New Business Pavilion, Beverage Ingredients Pavilion, Thailand Pavilion, USA Pavilion, Malaysia Pavilion, China Pavilion, and India Pavilion. With plenty of F&B industry players participating at the festival, Informa Markets will target to bring in more than 11,000 visitors.

Other programs also will enliven the festival, including a Technical Workshop and Seminar of over 40 well-known exhibitors and a Spotlight Product Showcases program to unveil the newest products related to healthy snacks, alternative proteins, and healthy ingredients. Visitors will also gain fruitful insight into the sustainability of the food and beverage business sector by attending the Sustainability Square program.

The promoter will also involve Vocational students from various schools to compete in developing food raw materials innovatively through the Food Product Development Competition schedule. However, regarding business matters, visitors can follow the Business Matching plan in making the business agreement with the exhibitors.

Presenting the International and Halal Conference

As stated by Advisory Council and Senior Scientist South East Asian Food and Agricultural Science and Technology (SEAFAST) Center of IPB University, Purwiyatno Hariyadi, Indonesia is the largest Muslim population worldwide, reaching 84% equally with 229 million individuals. Perceiving the immense Muslim community, Purwiyatno conveyed that food and beverage technology innovations would be the most necessary element to bolster the halal market share in Indonesia.

“SEAFAST Center, together with IPB University, plans to conduct an International and Halal Conference entitled Updates on Halal Certification Producers in Indonesia. The discussion session will elaborate on attractive topics regarding the progress of the halal trend and investigate how to penetrate the halal market share in Indonesia,” added Purwiyatno.
