The 40th Trade Expo Indonesia is Approaching, the Ministry of Trade Continues to Invite Businesses to Join the Exhibition

Heaptalk, Tangerang Regency, September 29, 2025 – Fajarini Puntodewi, Director General of National Export Development at the Ministry of Trade, continues to encourage Indonesian businesses to participate in Indonesia’s largest international trade exhibition, Trade Expo Indonesia (TEI) 2025. In its 40th edition, TEI 2025 will be held at the Indonesia Convention Exhibition (ICE) BSD City, Tangerang Regency, Banten, from October 15–19, 2025.

Puntodewi made this announcement at the TEI 2025 Implementation Press Conference at ICE BSD City on Monday (September 29). Also present at the press conference were Denny Abdi, Secretary General of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Heru Rizky Jiwayani, Government Business Head of PT Bank Mandiri (Persero), and Vibiadhi Swasti Pradana, Director of PT Debindo Multi Adhiwasti. “With thousands of participants and buyers continuing to grow daily, TEI 2025 opens up opportunities for Indonesian products to find buyers in the global market. This strategy represents a concrete commitment that exports are not only for large businesses, but also for rural businesses and small and medium enterprises (SMEs),” said Puntodewi.

TEI 2025 carries the theme “Discover Indonesia’s Excellence: Trade Beyond Boundaries.” As of today (September 29th), at least 1,015 exhibitors and 6,847 buyers from 106 countries are ready to enliven TEI 2025. TEI is still open to businesses interested in participating and welcomes buyers to attend TEI 2025. According to Puntodewi, this year’s TEI is targeting USD 16.5 billion in transactions. TEI 2025 is also targeted to have at least 1,500 exhibitors and 30,000 visitors.

“The number of registered buyers has exceeded the target and continues to grow daily. We welcome Indonesian businesses to take advantage of this opportunity to showcase their best products,” said Puntodewi.

This year, TEI will once again be held offline, without using State Budget (APBN) funds. In addition to seeing products in person, buyers can try and experience the superiority of goods and services from local businesses. Puntodewi hopes this face-to-face experience will help demonstrate the attractiveness of products to international buyers. TEI 2025 presents several innovations to encourage increased Indonesian exports. For the first time, it will provide dedicated space for village businesses through the “Export Oriented Village” booth and micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) through the “MSMEs Dare to Innovate, Ready to Adapt (BISA) Export Pavilion.”

Another novelty at this year’s TEI is the pre-business matching mechanism. Unlike previous years, this year’s business matching took place before the exhibition. This aims to ensure more targeted business matching, thereby creating greater transaction opportunities. The TEI 2025 exhibition will be divided into three product zones: the Food, Beverage, Agricultural Products, Licenses, and Franchises Zone; the Manufacturing and Services Zone; and the Fashion, Lifestyle, and Home Decor Zone.

In addition to the exhibition, TEI 2025 will host business forums in the form of seminars, talk shows, and workshops. Other activities include business matching, business counseling, delegation meetings and courtesy calls, and the signing of trade memorandums of understanding (MoUs).
The previous edition, TEI 2024 featured 1,460 exhibitors and 41,488 visitors. The 39th TEI attracted 8,042 buyers from 140 countries and recorded transactions totaling USD 22.73 billion.

Support for TEI 2025

The Secretary General of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Denny Abdi, expressed his full support for TEI 2025. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs is actively promoting TEI through 132 Indonesian missions abroad to ensure the success of the event. He believes that TEI can create a multiplier effect for the national economy.

“TEI is not only a buying and selling event, but also an opportunity to introduce Indonesia to the world. From trade transactions and investment opportunities to tourism promotion, everything can begin at TEI 2025. Therefore, it is important for us as hosts to provide a positive experience for international buyers,” said Denny.

As a token of support for TEI, Heru Rizky Jiwayani, Government Business Head of PT Bank Mandiri (Persero), stated that Bank Mandiri supports the growth of Indonesia’s international trade through banking facilities that facilitate business transactions. As a banking institution, Bank Mandiri facilitates export and import transactions, while simultaneously strengthening Indonesia’s position.
To support this, Bank Mandiri has launched the digital platforms Kopra by Mandiri and Kopra Beyond Board.
