Heaptalk, Jakarta — The latest data from Canalys (May 2025) reveals that Xiaomi once again claimed the top position in Indonesia’s smartphone market in Q1 2025, capturing a 19% market share.
The smartphone manufacturer has maintained its leading position consecutively since Q2 2024, demonstrating its competitiveness, especially during last year’s volatile market conditions. Wentao Zhao, Country Director of Xiaomi Indonesia, expressed gratitude for Indonesian consumers’ trust in the brand.
“This achievement is not only about numbers—it reflects Xiaomi’s commitment to understanding and meeting the unique needs of the Indonesian market. This positive response further motivates us to continue contributing to technological progress in Indonesia,” Zhao said.
The attainment in Q1 2025 was possible through a diverse product portfolio catering to different market segments. In the entry-level segment, the Redmi A5 offers an optimal balance of specifications and value to support users’ daily activities. The Redmi Note 14 Series brings camera technology, performance, and design innovation in the mid-range segment. Meanwhile, in the flagship segment, the Xiaomi 15 Series, developed in collaboration with Leica lenses, delivers a professional photography experience.
Zhao further emphasized that this achievement was also driven by the company’s efforts to expand its reach through a robust and widespread sales network, offline and online, ensuring the best consumer experience. “Moving forward, we remain committed to delivering innovative smartphone products tailored to the needs of Indonesian consumers,” he added.
Beyond smartphones, Xiaomi has a broader vision of building an integrated smart ecosystem. Xiaomi aims to connect all aspects of consumers ‘ digital lives through its Artificial Intelligence of Things (AIoT) product lineup, including smart home devices and wearables.
