Heaptalk, Jakarta — The Indonesian Textile Association (API), in collaboration with Peraga Expo, will hold the Indonesia International Textile Sourcing and Apparel Production Technology Expo (Inatex) 2025 and the Indonesia Textile and Garment Expo (Indointertex) 2025 on April 15-17, 2025, covering an area of more than 24,000 sqm at the Jakarta International Expo (JIExpo).

This textile, garment, and related product exhibition is expected to serve as a strategic platform to strengthen competitiveness and drive national industry growth. The three-day event will feature over 500 companies from 12 countries. Visitors can explore the latest technologies, global trends, and innovative services in sustainability, digitalization, and energy efficiency within the textile and garment industries.

The Indonesian government projects the textile and garment industry to become one of the top three sectors driving the rapid development of the creative economy in 2025. The fashion revolution, focusing on environmentally friendly and sustainable materials, will be the most sought-after subcategory. In line with this, the global sustainable fabric market is expected to grow rapidly, particularly in the apparel, furniture, and medical industries. The market is projected to reach $72.7 billion by 2030, with a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 10.6% from 2024 to 2030.

According to the Indonesian Textile Association, in 2023, the sustainable fabric market was valued at $29.1 billion and is expected to continue growing, from $32.74 billion in 2024 to $74.8 billion in 2032, with a CAGR of 12.5% during the 2024-2032 period. Farhan Aqil Syauqi, General Secretary of the Indonesian Fiber and Filament Yarn Manufacturers Association, emphasized the importance of sustainable fashion in boosting the industry’s competitiveness.

“We will continue to highlight, and of course, we have concepts related to sustainability, the green industry, and halal textiles. This new concept will push for mandatory standards for the green industry so that the industry can remain competitive,” said Farhan in Central Jakarta (03/13).

The exhibition is targeting 16,000 visitors, including professionals and students. Visitors can access the exhibition area for free by registering on the provided website. Several big names in the textile and garment industry will participate, including Asia Pacific Rayon, Danliris, Duniatex, Baju Kertas & Co, Nirvana Textile, Rudolf Chemical Indonesia, Dymatic Chemical Indonesia, and others. The exhibition aims to broaden insights on trends, innovations, and the latest technologies and expand business networks through B2B matchmaking.

Featuring 4 main programs

Paul Kingsen, CEO of Peraga Expo, conveyed that Inatex and Indo Intertex 2025 play an essential role for the textile industry players in Indonesia. “These events are the only credible platforms to pioneer, expand, and lead the transformation of the local textile and garment sector by showcasing a range of eco-friendly and sustainable products, including organic and natural fibers, recycled textiles, plant-based and biofabricated materials, low-impact and waterless dyeing, smart and sustainable textiles, DTG printers, and more,” Paul said.

This year, Inatex and Indo Intertex will feature four main programs: seminars and workshops, Build Your Brand, Tex Colour Trend Zone, and Texmission. The seminars and workshops will consist of a series of informative and educational sessions covering trends in technology and innovation in the textile and garment industries. These sessions will feature experts and specialists from the government, associations, and related communities.

Build Your Brand is an Inatex 2025 initiative designed to empower fashion entrepreneurs to build and develop their own brands. BYB connects participants with industry experts, including fashion consultants, CMT garment professionals, and textile printing specialists, who provide tailored guidance to realize their vision.

The Tex Colour Trend Zone is an exclusive area designed to showcase various color palettes inspired by global trends and phenomena, while celebrating the richness of Indonesia’s tangible and intangible cultural heritage. The main idea and activities of this pre-laboratory include mapping Indonesia’s unique color trends rooted in cultural assets, an initiative developed since 2012.

Texmission is an interactive mission program, an exciting initiative for visitors. Participants will complete a series of challenges, and those who complete all missions will receive exclusive prizes as a form of appreciation.
