Heaptalk, Jakarta – The A Team CUP Regional 2025, a cheerleader competition, was successfully organized at Grand Metropolitan Mall Bekasi last Sunday (02/23). The A Team Cheerleading Indonesia Association (Tatindo), the host of the competition, conveyed that the prestigious competition obtained great enthusiasm from multiple clubs and schools. The association reported that over 60 teams participated to compete and showcase their talent in this agenda.
Regarding the event implementation, Ridwan Fauzi, also called Coach Ipit, the Advisory Board of TATINDO explained that this year competition is different from its previous year. “This year, The A Team Cheerleading Indonesia Association or better known as TATINDO combines three regional coverage at once. This is due to the limited time available for the implementation of the TAT CUP Regional event in February,” voiced Coach Ipit.
Three regionals which was mentioned includes Jakarta, Banten, and West Java. This competition was the last regional competition. Previously, TATINDO and KORMINAS successfully held similar events in Yogyakarta, East Java, Bali and surrounding areas.
Coach Ipit also explained the reason why the competition of three regions was combined, “Because in March we have entered the fasting month and all teams from each region that qualify and represent their respective regions in national events will also need time to prepare thoroughly.”
Further, as the peak event, the continuation of the national event will be held in Yogyakarta on August – September 2025. Named The A Team National Cheerleading Championship 2025, this agenda is expected to repeat the success of the previous annual national event as the biggest cheerleading competition in Indonesia.
“I personally want to continue contributing to the development of the Indonesian cheerleading. With this event, we hope the younger generation can play a more active role in making new achievements from the regional to international levels. So that the world recognizes that Indonesia also has a spectacular cheerleading team that is able to compete with other countries.” added Coach ipit.
