Heaptalk, Jakarta — Palo Alto Networks, a cybersecurity company headquartered in Santa Clara, California, held Ignite on Tour Indonesia 2025 at Raffles Hotel, South Jakarta (02/27), to present insights and success stories in cybersecurity. This event brought together cybersecurity leaders and experts along with live demonstrations of the company’s developed cybersecurity technologies.

Adopting the theme ‘Reimagining Cybersecurity with Precision AI,’ this event explored how AI transforms the cybersecurity threat landscape and how Palo Alto Networks is revolutionizing digital defense to ensure stronger protection against AI-based attacks. BJ Jenkins, President of Palo Alto Networks, stated that we are at an infection point where rapid AI adoption presents tremendous opportunities to transform companies.

“At the same time, AI innovation also challenges our capabilities to ensure its security, as it expands the attack surface exploited by attackers. At Ignite on Tour Indonesia, we share the importance of a new approach, based on real-time analysis, AI-based insights, and an integrated platform,” Jenkins said during the media briefing of Ignite on Tour Indonesia 2025 in South Jakarta (02/27).

Prevented 11.3bn cybersecurity attacks

As data is considered the new commodity, all organizations, regardless of sector, are vulnerable to cyberattacks. This risk becomes more urgent as AI-based threats evolve, allowing attackers to seize data, exploit vulnerabilities, and launch large-scale disruptions swiftly.

In more detail, the company claimed it had prevented 11.3 billion attacks, analyzed 5.47 billion new objects, and identified 5.41 million unique new attack objects each day. This highlights the urgency of staying three steps ahead of attackers through continuous innovation and AI-based security strategies.

During the agenda, the firm officially launched its latest service, Cortex digital access to the browser availability in Indonesia. “It means that the data of Indonesia remains in Indonesia. There’s no processing outside of Indonesia. We are increasing the security outcome and we are also making sure that we are protecting the people of Indonesia,” said Simon Green, President of Palo Alto Networks JAPAC, at the Ignite on Tour Indonesia 2025 media briefing in South Jakarta (02/27).

Shifting to a seamless platform

Furthermore, Green added that the launch will give the firm a platform to continue the investment over the next few years. Palo Alto Networks aims to help to work with the industry and government to protect the entities and people of Indonesia.

According to Adi Rusli, Country Manager at Palo Alto Networks Indonesia, companies in Indonesia must rethink their approach to cybersecurity as they progress on their digital transformation journey. Shifting from fragmented technology to a seamless platform will increase efficiency, reduce complexity, and unlock powerful AI-driven insights that drive better real-time security outcomes.

“By leveraging a platform-based security approach that prioritizes AI, companies can stay ahead of adversaries, combat emerging threats with precision, and ensure a robust security posture in the era of AI-based cyber warfare,” concluded Adi.
