Heaptalk, Jakarta — The Pokémon Company announced several major programs until the end of this year at an event in Jakarta on Thursday (01/23). One of them is collaborating with PSSI to support Indonesian football.

“In 2024, we met many people in various cities in Indonesia and realized Indonesia is a vast country. Perhaps some haven’t had the chance to meet Pikachu, and we want to meet more friends in Indonesia. Therefore, in 2025, we have five flagship programs,” explained Susumu Fukunaga, Corporate Officer of The Pokémon Company Japan.

The first program will be a collaboration with the Indonesian Football Association (PSSI). In partnership with PT Garuda Sepak Bola Indonesia (GSI), Pikachu and Cinderace will wear Indonesian football uniforms to support local football activities, including Grassroots Activity at the Hydro Plus Piala Pertiwi U-14 and U-16 tournaments.

The second program is a partnership with the national airline Garuda Indonesia. Following the launch of Pikachu Jet GA1 last year, the second jet, Pikachu Jet GA2, will be introduced this year. It will feature five Pikachu adorned with traditional batik motifs.

The third program will be organizing Pikachu’s Indonesia Journey 2025. This event is scheduled to visit four cities: Deli Park Mall in Medan in late April 2025, Bekasi, Bandung, Semarang, and Palembang.

The fourth program is showing the second season of the Horizon Anime Series, which will air on Mentari TV in April 2025. Isyana Sarasvati composed and performed the song “Makna Dunia,” the first Indonesian song for the Pokémon anime.

The last program will be Pokémon Mezastar. This popular Pokémon entertainment machine will be available at several locations in Indonesia, starting in Jakarta in April.
