Heaptalk, Jakarta — Lebak Regency Government and BPJS Kesehatan signed an agreement to optimize the National Health Insurance (JKN) program at the Multatuli Hall, Lebak Regional Secretariat, on Tuesday (10/15).

In his remarks, Gunawan Rusminto, Acting Regent of Lebak, expressed gratitude to the Serang Branch of BPJS Kesehatan, hospital directors, heads of regional agencies, and guests who attended the event. He hopes that healthcare services for the people of Lebak will improve and operate efficiently.

“Thank you to the head of BPJS Kesehatan Serang and the hospital directors in Lebak for being present at this morning’s event. I urge all hospital policymakers to continue improving healthcare services so that the public can experience optimal service,” said Gunawan.

As of August 1, 2024, 1,470,198 residents of Lebak Regency’s total population of 1,494,976 were enrolled in the National Health Insurance program, representing 98.34%. Adiwan, the head of BPJS Kesehatan Serang Branch, emphasized the importance of synergy between the local government and BPJS Kesehatan in ensuring the JKN program runs smoothly.

“We hope to optimize healthcare access for the people of Lebak Regency, increase JKN membership, and improve the quality of services provided by healthcare facilities. This step is also expected to address technical challenges that have been obstacles in the past,” Adiwan concluded.
