Heaptalk, Jakarta — The Garmin Run Indonesia 2024 Asia Series, held at the Indonesia Convention Exhibition Bumi Serpong Damai City (ICE BSD City) on Sunday (09/29), highlighted technology and inclusivity through advanced features embedded in Garmin smartwatches.
Sky Chen, Garmin’s Regional Director for India and Southeast Asia, explained in a press release that the event aims to make Garmin Run an iconic event in Southeast Asia. “Our vision is to make Garmin Run not just a sports event but a celebration of community, technology, and inclusivity,” said Sky Chen.
According to Sky Chen, advanced technology, such as heart rate monitors, VO2 Max measurements, and GPS tracking, inside the Garmin smartwatches is designed to help professional athletes and beginner runners looking to improve their performance. “Garmin introduced these features to make running more accessible and optimized for everyone,” explained Sky Chen.
Herlina, a disabled runner participating in the Garmin Run Asia Series 2024, expressed her pride in being part of such an inclusive event. “For me, Garmin provides equal opportunities for everyone. Their technology helps me monitor my physical condition while running, which has been very helpful,” said Herlina.
Agus Prayogo, a seven-time SEA Games gold medalist, shared the same sentiment. According to Agus, Garmin has improved his sleep patterns, training, and lifestyle.
