Heaptalk, Jakarta — After being held in Tangerang and Surabaya, the Gaikindo Indonesia International Auto Show (GIIAS) automotive exhibition series will take place in Bandung, its third city, from September 25 to 29, 2024, at Sudirman Grand Ballroom.
Bandung was chosen as the third location due to its strategic role in the national automotive market. According to Gaikindo data, West Java contributed nearly 16% of the total national automotive distribution from January to April 2024, making it one of the provinces with the most significant contributions.
Gaikindo’s Secretary General, Kukuh Kumara, explained that GIIAS aims to strengthen the automotive industry in strategic regions, including Bandung. “We want to showcase the latest developments in automotive technology and educate the public on innovations and industry trends,” Kukuh said on Thursday (09/11).
With the concept of New, Compact, & Exciting, GIIAS Bandung 2024 will feature 18 motor vehicle brands, including vehicles that have never been introduced in Indonesia. Additionally, visitors can enjoy test drives, test ride areas, and various entertainment like music and talk shows. The exhibition also offers motor vehicle tax discounts and registration fee rebates of up to 10% for visitors purchasing new vehicles during the event.
Sri Vista Limbong, Project Director of GIIAS, revealed that this event will create the atmosphere of a miniature GIIAS with the presence of the latest motor vehicle brands and models and will create excitement through various programs and activities exclusively held throughout the exhibition.
GIIAS Bandung 2024 will showcase 13 passenger vehicle brands such as BYD, Citroen, Honda, Mitsubishi, and Toyota, as well as two-wheeler brands like Alva, Benelli, and Royal Enfield. Additionally, the West Java Regional Revenue Agency (Bapenda) will offer special tax discounts during the exhibition. For automotive enthusiasts, pre-sale tickets are available online through the Auto360 app at a special price of IDR 10,000 from September 12 to 14, 2024.
