Heaptalk, Jakarta — Adopting the theme ‘Time to Go Big,’ TCL introduced its latest product, the TCL X955 TV, to the Indonesian market on Wednesday (08/20). Measuring 115 inches, Omdia, an industry research and insights firm in technology, has recognized this product as the world’s largest QD-Mini LED TV.
This premium smart TV features QD-Mini LED technology with a brightness level reaching 5,000 nits. X955 is claimed to produce clear picture quality as a result of its extremely high contrast ratio and up to 20,000 local dimming zones. These specifications provide a unique viewing experience compared to other large-screen QD-Mini LED TVs, typically offering an average brightness of 1,300 nits and around 500 local dimming zones.
According to TCL Product Specialist Kevien Willieady, the X955 series also comes in a 98-inch variant. Kevien claimed that the 98-inch X955 is one of Indonesia’s brightest televisions for its size class. He said, “The 98-inch model of this series has specifications that are not much different from the 115-inch version. The brightness level is the same, at 5,000 nits.”
The 98″ X955 has fewer local dimming zones than the 115″ X955 Max but still reaches over 5,000 zones. Kevien mentioned that this number is significantly higher than other Mini LED TVs currently available from other brands.
In terms of sound quality, the X955 model uses Dolby Atmos and is equipped with high-quality Onkyo speakers with a 6.2.2 channel setup for the 115-inch size. This feature allows users to experience theater-level TV watching without leaving home.
Evan Tang, Director of TCL Indonesia, stated that the company continues to innovate by launching the latest TVs designed to meet the highest standards in the entertainment and professional industries. Equipped with the latest technology, this TV is ideal for home use and ideally suited for offices or meeting rooms to support professionals who need the best picture quality for presentations, editing, or other purposes.
