Heaptalk, Jakarta – The Ministry of Public Works and Housing (PUPR) announced to expedite the construction of toll roads in the Nusantara Capital (IKN) ahead of Indonesian Independence Day on 17 August this year.
The Director General of Bina Marga PUPR Rachman Arief stated that this acceleration will be carried out in IKN toll road Section 3A Karangjoang-KTT Kariangau, Section 3B KKT Karingau-Simpang Tempadung, Section 5A Simpang Tempadung-Jembatan Pulau Balang.
Futher freeway road Section 5B Pulau Balang Bridge-Simpang Riko, freeway road Section 6A Simpang Riko-Outer Ring Road IKN, and freeway road Section 6B Outer Ring Road-Simpang Tiga ITCI.
The construction of toll road and non toll road are accelerated. Generally, the travel times is 2.5 hours. Utilizing Tol 3A, 3B, 5A, and 6A, the travel time will be shortened to 70-71 minutes. Section 6B is not counting yet,” said Rachman.
In addition to accelerating transportation infrastructure, according to Rachman, PUPR also expedites the construction of the President Palace area, including the President Office, National Palace, Field Ceremony, and government offices which are listed in Batch 1.
Acting Vice Chairman of the Nusantara Capital Raja Juli Antoni confirmed that the toll road constructions are set to finish on last July 2024. Thus, the fresh infrastructure effectively run on August.
Meanwhile, the Minister of PUPR Basuki Hadimuljono targets to finish the establishment of Memorial Park in IKN on August 16 or one day before Indonesian Independence Day celebration which will be held in IKN and Jakarta.
