Heaptalk, Jakarta – Indosat Ooredoo Hutchison (ticker code: ISAT) announced to pay out dividend of about Rp 2.16 trillion or USD134 million, reaching 48% of its net profit in 2013.
According to the President Director and CEO of Indosat Vikram Sinha, the annual general meeting of shareholders results several points, one of which is to deliver dividend yield of Rp268.4 per share. He added the yield will be delivered maximum 30 days after the public expose. Moreover, the remaining net profit will be allocated as the retained earning.
Vikram Sinha, during the Indosat public expose (05/21), stated, “This solid performance cannot be separated from the contribution of employees, collaboration with strategic partners, loyal customers and the trust given by shareholders.”
The channeling of dividend is driven by the positive growth of the company’s business performance which transform from telco into AI native techco. The great performance also continue this year amidst the world economic turbulence and the presidential election. Based on the company’s Q1 ’24 report, Indosat recorded net a profit of Rp1.29 trillion or USD80.57 million, jumping by 39.4% yoy. Moreover, the company also collaborates with NVIDIA to develop AI in Solo. Utilizing AI for capacity planning, Indosat claimed to reduce operation cost by USD10 million.
