Taiwan Expo Indonesia is open, adopting smart, green, and halal concept

Heaptalk, Jakarta — The concern about sustainability, digital transformation, and halal concept are growing recently and become Indonesia’s main focus to achieve Indonesia Gold 2045. Spotting the national needs, Taiwan External Trade Development Council (TAITRA) and Taiwan International Trade Administration (TITA) officially take initiative to organize Taiwan Expo 2024. Officially open on Thursday (05/16), this event showcased multiple products and high technology which employ the spirit of smart, green, and halal concept.

“I am glad to be here again to reorganize this expo. We can see various innovation from 130 prominent companies from Taiwan,” stated the Representative of Taipei Economic and Trade Office, Jakarta, Indonesia, John C. Chen.

He added that Taiwan Expo 2024, specifically, brings a new spirit, including ‘Smart Manufacturing’, ‘Smart Medical’, ‘Green & Sustainable’, ‘Halal’, and ‘Smart Lifestyle’. Around 130 exhibitors are ready to showcase their innovative high quality products to generate mutual cooperation between Indonesia and Taiwan.

“Taiwan’s advanced technology is expected to meet the vast market demand in the archipelago and Taiwan expo is hoped to open multiple opportunities for the industry players to conduct bilateral cooperation.”

Taking place in Jakarta Convention Center (JCC) Jakarta, the exhibition is held from 16 May to 18 May 2024, starting from 10am to 6pm. The three-day expo offers free tickets and target to reach a USD247 million transaction value.

The agenda will be enlivened by 130 Taiwan companies who exhibit their innovation in seven pavilions, spanning Taiwan Excellence, Taiwan Healthcare Pavilion, Net Zero Pavilion, Taiwan Halal, Taiwan Product Center, Smart Taipei Green Innovation, and Tainan City. During the opening ceremony, the Indonesian famous singer Afghan also was invited to present a special performance in the “Discover Taiwan Excellence with Afghan” program.
