Heaptalk, Jakarta — PT Astra Honda Motor (AHM) has officially electric motorbike Honda EM1 e: and EM1 e: PLUS, in the AHM Safety Riding and Training Center Deltamas, West Java. The new Honda EM1 e: PLUS is equipped with a rear carrier to simplify for consumers to carry additional items without reducing comfort.
This model is also covered in a particular color, Excellent Matte Silver. In this era of electrification, Honda EM1 e: and Honda EM1 e: PLUS are produced directly at the AHM factory in Pegangsaan, North Jakarta. AHM also collaborates with local business chains to create electric motorbikes to reach above 40% of the local component content. This effort also fulfills TKDN’s requirements for obtaining government assistance for consumers to purchase electric motorbikes.
AHM’s President Director, Susumu Mitsuishi, conveyed that the presence of the Honda EM1 e: is a step in Honda’s visionary innovation in developing the electric motorbike business in the Indonesian market, combining high-quality modern design with sophisticated engine performance.
This electric motorbike has smooth and responsive performance, like a conventional motorbike, which is produced by a motor with a maximum power of 1.7 kW. Support for a detachable MPP e: battery also provides convenience for consumers. Regarding the battery charging period, consumers can charge this motorbike with the Honda Power Pack Charger for 160 minutes to gain around 25% – 75% battery capacity and a six-hour charging process to obtain power up to 100%.
On the other hand, customers can also visit the Honda Power Pack Exchanger e: to switch to a fully charged battery. The MPP e: battery contained IP65 protection, which makes this battery resistant to dust and water, and possessed the international standard UNR 136 to ensure quality and safety guarantees.
In supporting mobilization in urban areas, Honda EM1 e: can reach a maximum speed of 45 km/h with a maximum distance of 41.1 km (WMTC Mode). Besides, AHM collaborates with various parties to provide the Honda Power Pack Exchanger e: in several locations in Jakarta to bolster consumer driving activity.
The Honda Mobile Power Pack E: (MPP e:) battery is also equipped with a Battery Safety-Lock system, making this battery stable and providing convenience for the driver. Regarding the price, the new EM1 e: will be priced at US$2,126 (around Rp33 million), and the Honda EM1 e: Plus will be priced at US$2,158, equal to Rp33.5 million.
