Heaptalk, Jakarta — Halal Fair, Indonesia’s halal products exhibition, officially opened for three days on December 8th – 10th, 2023, at Indonesia Convention Exhibition (ICE) BSD, Tangerang.
In conjunction with the Halal Indonesia International Trade Show (HIITS) agenda, this expo targeted the business-to-business (B2B) and business-to-customer (B2C) sectors. Held by Wahyu Promo Citra, this expo is a momentum for the appearance of quality halal products from local MSMEs that can provide solutions for visitors.
In his opening remarks, the Project Director of Wahyu Promo Citra, Satrio Sukur, delivered, “As one of the most tremendous Muslim populations worldwide, Indonesia’s halal economy should be strengthened to boost the halal lifestyle implementation, specifically for local entrepreneurs to enhance their product capacity that has been halal certified,”
Around 250 international exhibitors from multiple countries participated in this expo, spanning Malaysia, the Philippines, Saudi Arabia, Japan, and the United States. During the event, Indonesia’s Halal Product Guarantee Organizing Agency (BPJPH) provides consultation and free halal certification services for visitors. Business actors can also expand their business networks by collaborating with other domestic and international business actors.
“Halal Fair and HITS 2023 is an outstanding movement this year, which is being held on a larger scale than previous exhibitions,” added Wahyu.
Multiple programs also enliven this expo, such as the halal talk show, halal beauty class, halal food talk, cooking and live baking show, and parenting program. This expo is one place to amplify the halal MSMEs’ capacity to contribute to the country’s Sharia economic growth. By providing attractive programs, Hala Fair aims to exceed the visitor numbers of the previous event, which reached 47,000 visitors.
On the other hand, this event organizer also holds a Friday learning program as a continuation program of free Friday tickets for teachers. This program allows schools who want to study to attend the Halal Fair on Fridays. They also can obtain free tickets for teachers, buy 1, get one free access for students, and get educational content with exhibitors. Halal Fair also provides a donation option for Palestine in the online ticket purchase link.
