Heaptalk, Jakarta — The peak event of the 24th anniversary of West Kutai on November 5, 2023, will be enlivened by two well-known Indonesian music performers, namely the solo singer Happy Asmara and the band Republik.

Happy Asmara through her social media page confirmed her presence at the event and wished Kutai Regency a happy 24th anniversary. She said, “Hopefully West Kutai tomorrow will be better than today.” She also invited fans to watch her performance at Itho Sendawar Square, West Kutai.

Meanwhile, Assistant III of the West Kutai Regency Secretariat who is chairman II of the West Kutai anniversary committee Sahadi said that the regency government has prepared the location for the main event including regulating traffic flow as cited from RRI. Apart from anticipating the masses who want to watch the performance of Happy Asmara and Republik, these preparations are also to welcome President Joko Widodo’s visit on November 3, 2023.

“At the peak event, there will be music performances. We also have President Joko Widodo coming. Therefore, we have prepared traffic flow regulations, starting from the two-lane road to Itho Square and the Sendawar Cultural Park, which is the location of the event. The committee has arranged the regulations to make people who come feel comfortable,” Sahadi explained.

The presence of Happy Asmara, Republik, and President Joko Widodo as well as breaking Muri’s record for the largest number of people wearing anjat is expected to enliven the 24th anniversary of West Kutai Regency. Therefore, the West Kutai Government invites the public to witness firsthand the series of its anniversary events starting on October 23, 2023. (Translated by Sinta)
