Heaptalk, Jakarta — Head of the ICT and Encryption Infrastructure Section of the Encryption Information Communication Service (Diskominfo Staper) in East Kutai, Sulisman, said that the National Coordination Meeting agenda regarding Collaborative Implementation of Electronic-Based Government Systems (SPBE) was the proper forum to accelerate the implementation of Smart City in the region.
“Regarding our field, which is currently still tackling the implementation of Smart City in the region, we are immensely supportive. Implementing the SPBE or digital applications will speed up the Smart City goals.” He added.
Nevertheless, Sulisman observed several of East Kutai’s superior programs, generally known as Quick Wins, still need to develop digital applications. For this reason, he affirmed that his party would continue to focus on developing the required technology following the Ministry’s mandate regarding accelerating the implementation of the e-government system for superior programs in the region.
Regarding the region’s quick wins programs, Sulisman conveyed that the district government continues enhancing the How to Pick Up the Ball Service (Cap Jempol) program. As one of the Smart City pillars of Smart Society, he claimed that the East Kutai government has coordinated with the Ministry to establish a digital application for this program.
On the other hand, Sulisman continues focusing on advancing e-SPTPD as the other quick wins program of East Kutai. By implementing this system, society can pay online tax and simplify the government entity to record the data related to taxpayers who still need to pay. With the e-SPTPD system, Sulisman claimed that tax growth is improving.
“We have implemented Smart City since 2018 until now. We appreciate the support of the related Regional Apparatus Organizations (OPD). Even though the process is progressing slowly, our endeavors continue to increase significantly, particularly in smart economics.” concluded Sulisman.
As is well known, this SPBE National Meeting is held for three days on October 16th – 19th, 2023, at Mulia Hotel, Jakarta. Conducted by Indonesia’s Ministry of Communication and Informatics (Kominfo), the agenda involved the entire Communication and Information Services throughout Indonesia to discuss strengthening collaboration and the SPBE adoption progress as part of the strategic efforts towards Smart City in the regions.
