Heaptalk, Jakarta — The popularity of deep tech continues to climb due to the increasingly massive implementation of digital assistance. Deep technologies, spanning Artificial Intelligence (AI), blockchain, robotics, data analysis, and quantum computing, are claimed to be part of the future of the world’s digital ecosystem.

According to the CEO of DesktopIP, Phidi Soepangkat, The presence of this technology will continue to increase if several important aspects continue to be strengthened. In his further statement, he spotlighted several critical points to reinforce the existence of deep tech, one of which is how far the technologies can be applied and increase social inclusion around society in Indonesia.

In bringing digital transformation to socially inclusive, Phidi claimed that the community should experience more straightforward access to digital infrastructure and increase engagement regarding the technology used to carry out practical social activities.

However, he perceives numerous technology adoptions do not implement disabled-friendly concept. For this reason, Phidi conveyed that the deep tech presence could be strengthened if the creation of technological product implemented a localized customization scheme.

By possessing a localized customization technology product, Phidi believes the aspect will create a sense of belonging and a better experience by producting convenience and secure technology.

“Many of stuff going on about how technology can bolster people. It is the purpose of technology to assist others as human beings. The technology is not so much whether we can understand the technology used, but whether we can operate it comfortably and have a sense of belonging to the technology,” affirmed Phidi during the Techmind Conference. Based on his observation, multiple types of deep tech infrastructure have been built directly by Indonesian talents, indicating the maturity of their capability. With this potential, he is optimistic plenty of localized deep technologies would provide tremendous job opportunities while elevating the quality of social intelligence in the country.

“The presence of deep technology will not replace human roles, but rather a behavior shifting that will make people more competent in using technology to continue adjusting themselves in improving the needed skills in the technology field. With their capabilities, I look forward to Indonesia’s society not becoming dependent.” Phidi said in his statement.

On the other hand, He also conveyed another aspect that could strengthen the presence of many types of deep tech technology, namely data storage security, as the primary foundation. Becoming the leader of the technological company, Phidi claimed that his party also continues to amplify the growth of deep tech in the country, one of which is advancing localized cloud technology.

“Whatever we discuss regarding high tech or deep tech must be related to data. In this context, I think there must be a foundation for storing this data. Therefore, DesktopIP continues to amplify the elevation of deep technologies by advancing a cloud technology.” concluded Phidi.
