Kaspersky’s cybersecurity products, consisting of Standard, Plus, and Premium packages, deliver enhanced interfaces and experiences for multiple devices, including Windows, Mac, iOS, and Android.
Heaptalk, Jakarta — A global cybersecurity company, Kaspersky, launched its new product lines for Indonesian users, consisting of Kaspersky Standard, Kaspersky Plus, and Kaspersky Premium.
These reinvented B2C products deliver enhanced interfaces and experiences across multiple platforms covering four main areas: security, privacy, performance, and identity. The packages provide protection for a wide variety of devices across Windows, Mac, iOS, and Android.
According to Territory Channel Manager at Kaspersky for Indonesia Dony Koesmandarin, cybersecurity risks are increasing and the digitalization of life has been undeniable. Today, cybersecurity is not solely about installing an antivirus on a PC, but more broadly about a comprehensive ecosystem of security services for any platform and device that caters to the needs of any user.
“We have changed the entire structure of the product interface and user experience to help them understand and appreciate the range of protection levels we offer across the areas of security, performance, privacy, and identity. Keeping consumers’ lives safe and private is Kaspersky’s priority and we are proud to launch this new portfolio that is more than ever aligned with the realities of the cyber threat landscape and the needs of our customers,” said Dony at the product launch in Jakarta (07/25).
Improving users’ cybersecurity amid increasing cyberattacks
The launch of these enhanced product lines is one of Kaspersky’s efforts to improve the cybersecurity of users amid increasing cyberattacks. Managing Director at Kaspersky for Asia Pacific Adrian Hia said that his party managed to prevent mobile malware trials in Southeast Asia by 207,506 trials in 2022. Of these, Indonesia contributed 126,906 trials. This incident placed Indonesia in the 1st place in the region in terms of mobile malware detection.
Moreover, the Company has also blocked 108 mobile banking trojan detections, nearly 5 million phishing attempts, and nearly 25 thousand crypto phishing attempts targeting domestic users in 2022. “At this point, we can see that cybercriminals are still working on developing the functionality of the malware and its distribution vectors. So it’s important for us to stay alert,” said Adrian.
In more detail, Kaspersky Standard offers protection for two areas namely security and performance, including real-time protection against the latest digital threats as well as safe browsing and anti-phishing to provide protection from dangerous websites, downloads, and extensions.
Kaspersky Plus has a protection area for three areas namely security, performance, and privacy. Apart from that, customers also get access to all the features available in Kaspersky Standard plus unlimited VPN and Password Manager Premium. The interesting thing, this package provides a password manager facility that can improve password protection.
Meanwhile, Kaspersky Premium offers complete protection in four areas, namely security, performance, privacy, and identity. Apart from that, customers earn a bonus of free access to Kaspersky Safe Kids for one year.
