With AI support, Deliveree could manage thousands of daily truck orders and adequately assign them to the trucks and trailers with accurate locations.
Heaptalk, Jakarta — A logistic startup Deliveree has affiliated with PT Persero Batam to adopt generative AI technology, which is expected to support the National Logistics Ecosystem (NLE) and the Batam Logistics Ecosystem (BLE).
The two logistics companies will launch and operate the AI-based trucking application and logistics marketplace Deliveree in August 2023 in this collaboration. On the other hand, the logistics application of Deliveree will utilize the logistics expertise of Persero Batam to ensure the efficiency and utilization of trucks to minimize transportation expenses.
With the AI technology contribution, the President Director of PT Persero Batam, Arham Torik, revealed that this startup could manage thousands of daily truck orders and adequately assign them to the trucks and trailers with accurate locations. Arham claimed this scheme would increase vendor revenue while reducing transportation costs.
“This efficiency will strengthen the logistics service sector, which is more competitive in Batam and can attract plenty of investment value and significant growth while making this area more competitive internationally,” added Arham.
Furthermore, by operating Deliveree apps, shippers can order box trucks and prime movers with trailers in Batam for export, import, and highway cargo needs with multiple digital experiences, including assignment to professional vendors, real-time map tracking for trucks and cargo, digital signatures, online-based payments or invoices, electronic travel documents, and live chat communication devices.
Besides, truck vendors will experience multiple advantages from implementing AI in schedule optimization in the application. This technology will recommend orders to each vendor according to location, schedule, and fleet availability to substantially increase truck utilization.
Aiming to provide a broader logistics service, This logistic platform has grown its gross transaction value by 3,2 times last year. The startup has also enlarged its team to nearly 500 employees across four countries. Also, the businesses that employ Deliveree’s services to power their daily cargo shipments and deliveries have reached over 25,000. This robust growth demonstrates the strength of Deliveree’s business model and paints an exciting picture of the future of logistics technology in Southeast Asia.
“This collaboration is a great opportunity to bring AI technology to Batam to lower logistics costs for customers while increasing revenue for truck vendors. This move also benefits both parties as never before. We are excited about working with Persero Batam to optimize the delivery process.” the CEO of Deliveree Indonesia, Tom Kim, said.
