PLN has increased the time for electricity to be applied from 18 to 24 hours in three villages in Batu Ampar sub-district.
Heaptalk, Jakarta — East Kutai Regent Ardiansyah Sulaiman appreciated the program to increase electricity demand in the interior of East Kutai. The Regent conveyed this appreciation following the information that three villages in the Batu Ampar sub-district had enjoyed 24-hour electricity from PLN since May 25th, 2023.
“I appreciate PT PLN, which until now continues to work together in implementing the program to fulfill the community’s electricity needs,” Regent Ardiansyah said in his statement.
The leader of the East Kutai Regency hopes that the electricity acceleration program in this area will continue to increase. On the other hand, Ardiansyah looks forward to the electrification ratio in East Kutai Regency can be evenly distributed throughout all sub-districts.
Before adding the additional time of the power on, from 18 hours to 24 hours, the Management of PT PLN, through the PLN Manager of the Bontang Customer Service Unit (ULP), held socialization and a 24-hour ignition of the isolated Batam ULD system at the Batam Sub-District Office.
This socialization was led by the Head of Batam Sub-District, Suriansyah Mutul, and attended by residents from three villages represented by the Village Head, BPD, Hamlet Head, and TNI-Polri officers.
The Manager of PLN ULP Bontang, Rian Bagus Wijaya, said that the socialization was to provide an understanding of the dangers of the electricity network after the local government had augmented the time for electricity to be applied from 18 hours to 24 hours.
According to him, the program is PLN’s goal to continue to improve the quality of service and reliability of electricity, especially in the Batam sub-district. Accompanied by the Person in Charge of PLN KP Muara Bengkal, he added that the time spent using electricity in the area could increase economic productivity and support a more prosperous society.
