Heaptalk, Jakarta — NOICE, Indonesia’s digital audio content platform, announced to bag USD22 million in a Series A funding round. This round was led by a well-known private equity firm Northstar and its existing investors, falling into Alpha JWC, Go-Venture, and Kinesys.
With regards to the use of this new capital, the CEO of NOICE Rado Ardan mentioned that the fresh fund would be dedicated to developing the creator community and technology platform. Meanwhile, Rado also affirmed that the development would be performed through expanding the audio series content coverage to present the best Indonesian stories from the writer community or local storytellers that adopt it to the audio file.
“We have tested the new format and perceive a high promising interaction and retention. This is truly new and interesting to be explored and contains a million potencies.” Stated CEO of NOICE Rado Ardian.
The bankroll comes on the heel of the strategic injection from RANS Entertainment – a company founded by notable Indonesian artists Raffi Ahmad and Nagita Slavina – last April 2022. Supported by experienced investment while boosted by tremendous fresh capital, NOICE is expected to achieve its vision to be the largest audio platform in Indonesia.
This view is likely to happen through performing content acquisition and audio-techno platform development for users and creators aggressively. As the real action, NOICE has built collaboration with various renowned local public figures and influencers who have over 130 million subscribers, including Raffi Ahmad, Arif Muhammad, Jerome Polin, etc.
Starting its debut in 2018, NOICE has succeeded in soaring its user growth to attain 2 million people across Indonesia. This number has increased fourfold compared to the previous year, with the listeners’ daily playing time exceeding 80 minutes. This enhancement is achieved as NOICE puts its focus on the production and the curation of local audio content on its platform.
Co-founder and Managing Partner of Northstar Group Patrick Walujo stated that digital audio content is one of the businesses with the fastest growth around the world, and NOICE has flourished rapidly. This point enabled NOICE to stand out and convince the Singapore-based private equity to support the audio content platform.
”We have witnessed NOICE’s commitment to aggressively grow, and we are absolutely pleased to be the partner that supports them in this journey,” Patrick said in a statement. (WLN)
