Heaptalk, Jakarta — Xiaomi announced the global launch of its latest flagship, the Xiaomi 15 Series, in Barcelona, Spain (03/02). The series includes the Xiaomi 15 and Xiaomi 15 Ultra. The Leica Summilux optical lenses in this series bring professional photography and videography capabilities. Xiaomi HyperOS 2 is claimed to enhance performance, connectivity, and AI capabilities.
The series is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite Mobile Platform, which provides a 45% increase in CPU performance and 52% better power efficiency than the previous generation. Internal company lab tests show a 44% increase in GPU performance and a 46% reduction in power consumption. These capabilities are said to smoothly handle heavy tasks such as video recording, computational photography, real-time AI, and intensive gaming.
The Xiaomi 15 Ultra features a 5410mAh battery supported by 90W HyperCharge and 80W wireless HyperCharge. The Xiaomi 15 has a 5240mAh battery supported by 90W HyperCharge and 50W wireless HyperCharge. Furthermore, the series uses the latest LPDDR5X memory. The Xiaomi 15 has UFS 4.0 storage in 12GB+256GB and 12GB+512GB variants. The Xiaomi 15 Ultra uses UFS 4.1 storage, with options of 16GB+512GB (available in Black & White) and 16GB+1TB (available only in Silver Chrome).

The camera features a focal length range of 14mm to 200mm and is designed for creative professionals who want to optimize mobile photography. The primary camera system is equipped with a Leica Summilux lens, an 8P aspherical lens with high light transmission, and dual anti-reflection coating (AR coating) for purer and clearer optical quality.
The Xiaomi 15 Ultra’s camera system has a 23mm 1-inch Leica primary camera, equipped with a 50MP Sony LYT-900 image sensor for enhanced sharpness and detail. Combined with the Leica Summilux optical lens, the camera has an ƒ/1.63 aperture, and variable focal lengths of 23mm, 28mm, and 35mm with a high dynamic range of 14EV. The smartphone’s design is inspired by classic cameras, available in three color options: black, white, and silver chrome.
The smartphone manufacturer also introduced an accessory for photography enthusiasts called the Xiaomi 15 Ultra photography kit legend edition. Adopting a classic camera shape, the kit features an iconic red decorative ring, a custom UI in Fastshot mode, thumb support and a removable shutter button, a multifunctional 67mm filter adapter, and an integrated 2000mAh battery for more extended use.

The Xiaomi 15 is available in four color options: black, white, green, and liquid silver. Its micro-curved aluminum frame increases durability by up to 33%. It has 94% screen-to-body ratio and ultra-thin bezels of only 1.38mm.
This device has a triple camera system with a focal length range of 14mm to 120mm. The primary camera uses a Leica Summilux optical lens with a 7P aspherical high-transmittance design, anti-glare coating, and a large ƒ/1.62 aperture. Thanks to the high dynamic Light Fusion 900 sensor, this camera provides a professional photography experience with three main focal lengths: 23mm, 28mm, and 35mm.
For telephoto photography, the Xiaomi 15 features a 60mm Leica floating telephoto camera with a 50MP sensor, capable of capturing distant details and producing stunning macro photos up to 10cm away. Meanwhile, the 14mm 50MP Leica ultra-wide camera with an ƒ/2.2 aperture opens up new creative possibilities, allowing users to take impressive wide-angle photos.
