Heaptalk, Jakarta — World, the human verification protocol co-founded by Sam Altman and Alex Blania, has launched World App 4.0 globally at an event titled ‘At Last’ in San Francisco. This update enables users to integrate verified identity, financial features, and social networking seamlessly within a unified platform.
The latest version of the app has redesigned its Mini Apps ecosystem for better intuitiveness, with improved navigation across app categories, games, and coins. Additionally, World Chat has been integrated as a core feature of the app.
Developed under Tools for Humanity, the protocol has identified key areas where proof of real human identity is essential. World App 4.0 has also explored new ways to implement privacy-preserving age verification.
Through partnerships with Razer (gaming industry) and Tinder (online dating), World ID can now be smoothly integrated into existing ecosystems. These integrations aim to foster safer, more authentic online interactions and rebuild user trust by helping people verify that the profiles they encounter belong to real humans.
To launch WorldCard soon

Furthermore, this proof-of-human system will soon launch WorldCard in collaboration with Visa. Touted as one of the world’s first cards designed for World ID-verified humans, it is set to debut later this year. The card will link directly to users’ World App wallets, allowing them to spend digital assets anywhere Visa is accepted, spanning over 150 million locations worldwide, both online and in physical stores.
“A simple plan has guided the World’s journey from concept to reality. We started by building a scalable Proof of Human system that prioritizes privacy and resists even the most advanced AI—to expand access globally and deliver the benefits of a human-centric, AI-augmented network to everyone. Our next step is ensuring technology remains a tool that empowers human connections, not replaces them,” said Wafa Taftazani, General Manager of Tools for Humanity Indonesia.
In Indonesia, World’s services and technology have been available since February 2025, with 17 World Spaces Hubs established in Greater Jakarta to support the country’s tech trends and meet the demand for innovative, secure online interactions. Since then, the World has also partnered with key local stakeholders, demonstrating its commitment to long-term AI governance and alignment with national priorities.
