Heaptalk, Jakarta — The Indonesian Association of Digitalization & Cyber Security (ADIGSI), in collaboration with Kaspersky and the National Cyber and Crypto Agency (BSSN), conducted a strategic forum to formulate strategies to address increasingly complex cyber threats (02/14).
The forum, which brought together the government, international institutions, and the business community, adopted the theme ‘CyberSecure 2025: Strengthening Government & Private Sector Collaboration to Protect Indonesia’s Digital Future and Boost Economic Growth.’ It also discussed the role of the government, organizations, and individuals in collectively strengthening Indonesia’s digital infrastructure.
More specifically, this strategic forum aims to produce innovative resolutions for increasingly complex cybersecurity challenges, raise awareness among organizations, government, and society about current cyber threats, and identify effective strategies to mitigate the risk of cyber-attacks in Indonesia.
Challenges using AI
Genie Sugene Gan, Director of Government Affairs and Public Policy at Kaspersky, opened the forum by discussing global cybersecurity trends that can serve as a reference for Indonesia. She highlighted challenges from using AI, the shift to everything-as-a-service (XaaS), supply chain globalization, and the increasing incidents of data breaches.
“In the rapidly evolving cybersecurity landscape, the establishment of ADIGSI comes at the right time, especially in bringing together all stakeholders in the cybersecurity industry to find joint solutions to the challenges we face. Kaspersky is very pleased to support ADIGSI since the beginning of its journey,” said Gan.
Slamet Aji Pamungkas, Deputy for Cybersecurity and Cryptography for the Economic Sector at BSSN, emphasized that strategic collaboration between the government and the business community is crucial to strengthening Indonesia’s cyber resilience, especially amid the growing threats. “Regulators and industry players must understand each other’s priorities and interests to create joint solutions and responses,” Slamet said in his keynote speech.
Established in 2024
Echoing Slamet, Firlie Ganinduto, Chairman of ADIGSI, stated that strategic collaboration between the government and the business community in building cyber resilience must align with national strategies. Indonesia aims to make the digital economy a new source of growth and an effective driver of achieving the 8% economic growth target.
Firlie explained, “A well-structured plan, supported by solid execution and stakeholder commitment, is the key to achieving this goal. Today’s inaugural ADIGSI event, supported by one of the main players in the cybersecurity ecosystem, Kaspersky, is the first step in realizing that goal.”
The Indonesian Association of Digitalization & Cyber Security (ADIGSI) was established in 2024 as a result of a joint dialogue between industry and the government, specifically BSSN. Its vision is to become the central pillar in building a robust and sustainable cybersecurity ecosystem. ADIGSI encourages collaboration between the government, private sector, academia, and international organizations to address evolving cyber threats and develop the national cybersecurity industry.
