Heaptalk, Jakarta — Green Power Group, a company engaged in the new energy sector, collaborates with ZTE Indonesia, a telecommunications and information technology company, to explore new renewable energy, specifically solar photovoltaic power plants in Timor Leste, as reported by Kontan (01/13).
Both entities have agreed on the main points that will be carried out, including areas of cooperation and the parties’ rights and obligations. The cooperation covers the photovoltaic project in the Special Administrative Region of Oecusse Ambeno (RAEOA), Timor Leste. The agreement also includes financing and developing photovoltaic solar power, and other collaborations in photovoltaic projects in the Asia-Pacific region.
Regarding rights and obligations, Green Power Group will inform ZTE Indonesia of all new requests and opportunities to participate in each photovoltaic project. Subsequently, ZTE Indonesia will provide the necessary technology and concentrate high-quality resources on each project.
William Ong, President and Director of Green Power Group, stated that this Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) is an initial stage to facilitate a cooperation framework, discuss specific commercial terms, and reflect a general plan for involving the parties. This MoU aims to explore new renewable energy cooperation, especially in photovoltaics.
“The signing of the MoU with ZTE Indonesia is also a concrete step by the company in following up on the MoU previously signed by the company with the President of RAEOA regarding the signing of the Electricity Purchase Agreement,” William concluded.
