Heaptalk, Jakarta — A payment infrastructure platform in Southeast Asia, Xendit, announced its partnership with Employment Social Security Program, BPJAMSOSTEK. The collaboration will provide an auto-debit system for monthly dues payments dedicated to non-wage recipients (BPU).
Welcoming this strategic cooperation, the COO and Co-Founder of Xendit, Tessa Wijaya, delivered her excitement, “We are honored to become a partner for BPJAMSOSTEK in reinforcing its digital payment service. This partnership will encourage us to innovate and enhance our payment infrastructure more rapidly, efficiently, and reliably. Thus, Xendit will continue to bolster government initiatives to furnish the payment conveniences that Indonesia’s digital economy offers to society,”
Xendit is the first payment gateway company in Indonesia that allows recurring automatic payment debit requests. Through the development of Xendit’s Recurring product, this financial technology application anticipates assisting BPJS Employment participants in paying their monthly dues following their billing date.
The payment product of Xendit, Recurring, supports the BPJS Employment auto-debit payment feature to enable participants to arrange scheduled automatic debits repeatedly on their BRI bank accounts – BRI Direct Debit and e-wallet, including Dana, OVO, and Shopeepay.
To operate an auto-debit feature on the JMO application, the President Director of BPJAMSOSTEK, Anggoro Eko Cahyo, explained that newly registered participants must accomplish the first month of their dues. Participants can execute their monthly payment automatically through several steps: clicking an auto-debit feature on the JMO’s app main screen, filling in the membership number, choosing the preferred payment method, and completing the needed data to accomplish an auto-debit payment registration. Through the JMO’s platform, members can also acknowledge their dues payment history on the auto-debit feature and experience work safely and quietly.
“This innovation is a part of our responses to the participants’ needs with their concern for the protection and welfare of BPU workforces around them, consisting of household assistants (ART), personal drivers, and bakers. We also have simplified the dues payment transaction more quickly and thoroughly by presenting multiple e-wallet preferences and integrated banking channels. The existence of an auto-debit option is believed to help participants avoid their missed payments,” added Anggoro.
